We are looking for a new cemetery worker until 2026. 100% temporary position.

About us

Our team at the cemetery administration in Tibro parish needs a new employee during 2026. During peak season, we consist of about 12 employees working both in Tibro and Ransberg. We manage a total of four cemeteries, three churches, one chapel, and two parish houses.

About the job

Your tasks will include all jobs occurring at the cemetery, such as mowing, trimming, planting, watering, weed control, hedge trimming, pruning, leaf management, gravestone securing, and grave digging. During the winter season, snow removal and ice control will also be part of the job.

You will have regular snow preparedness on weekends between November and April.

Daily supervision of our machinery is also included, along with various property and construction work.

About you

We are looking for someone who has completed a gardening education or has equivalent experience in practical park or cemetery work. Experience in a similar position within the Church of Sweden is considered a plus.

A driving license (B) is required, as well as good experience in operating machinery.

You should have good physical condition as many of the tasks are physically demanding.

If you have previously had tasks related to workplace safety and fire protection, it is an advantage.

If you have a particular interest in actively working with solutions that can make our operations more environmentally sustainable, that is also an advantage.

Valid safety training such as 'Safe grave digging', Work on the road, ADR 1.3, chainsaw license, and brush cutter license are a plus.

Some driving certificates may also be advantageous.

In the recruitment process, we will place great emphasis on your personal qualities, and we want you to be driven, flexible, and meticulous. Furthermore, you should have good collaboration skills and social competence as the work involves many personal meetings.

You should be able to work both independently and in a team, as well as assess which routine tasks need to be performed and when.

We are looking for a temporary employee at 100% from March 1, 2026, until March 1, 2027.
